-
Online: use the Donate button at the top of this page.
-
In person: Del Norte Bank
-
By mail: HVCC, 595 Grand Ave., Del Norte, CO 81132. Make checks payable to Community Flood Recovery @ HVCC.
Donations are used only for flood recovery and the direct costs of running the fund.
We do not accept restricted funds, and you cannot name your own recipient. Donations are eligible for regular charitable donation tax benefits, as allowed by law. They are not eligible for the Colorado Child Care Contribution Tax Credit.
Any remaining funds will support other flood recovery needs in the Creede, South Fork and Del Norte area. If those needs have been met, the HVCC board will direct remaining funds to the broader community.
Apply for help
Households affected by the flooding whose primary home is in Creede, South Fork, Del Norte, or Monte Vista may apply. Other affected individuals and households will also be considered. Homeowners, renters and people staying with others may apply.
The fund can help with temporary housing, rent or a mortgage payment that prevents loss of your home, food, clothing, medicine, transportation, child care, and essential repairs or cleanup.

Applications are due December 10, 2026, or sooner if funds run out. We review applications every Wednesday, and as needed for urgent cases. We will respond within 7 days of receiving a complete application. If you have no safe housing, heat or water, or need urgent medical bill help, call 719-657-2172.
Funds are limited, and awards are based on need. For other flood help, call 2-1-1 or text your ZIP code to 898-211.
How the fund works
A three-member Advisory Board reviews applications and awards help based on need. We live in small towns, and we know each other. That's why every application gets the same review, and anyone with a close connection steps aside.
We will report total donations, fund costs and households helped on this page each month while the fund is active, and in a final report when it closes. We will not name the families who receive help.
Monthly update: totals will be posted here. | The only HVCC giving page for this fund is theHVCC.org/floods.
