High Valley Community Center offers a safe environment where our youth develop and strengthen positive values and behaviors through responsive programming, community service learning, and meaningful opportunities that inspire them to reach their full potential.

What's Summer @ HVCC?
Nothing short of AWESOME!

Our Green Shirts (K-5) will participate in HVCC Camps & Studios, which are similar to our HVCC Clubs! Kiddos have the opportunity to pick one camp per two week session that seems the most interesting to them!
​
Our Orange Shirts (6 + 7) will volunteer and participate in a work-based learning program that also consists of incredible studios & projects.
​
Our Blue Shirts (8th grade +) can participate in HVCC on a drop in basis or can apply for our brand new Project Crew. Younger or older applicants may be considered based on demonstrated responsibility, leadership, and readiness for a work-based role.

And as always, we will have INCREDIBLE field trips every Wednesday!

Anyone who is in grades K-12 starting Fall 2026! Homeschooled, Del Norte, Monte Vista, Center, or even out of state - all are welcome!

You must be enrolled with HVCC to attend.
This process will open May 1, 2026.

SPORTS & GAMES
Get ready to RUN, jump, and play! Sports & Games is where you'll team up with your new friends for exciting challenges, awesome competitions, and tons of active fun. You'll discover your inner MVP, learn how to cheer each other on, and level up your skills — whether you're a sports superstar or trying something totally new. Game on!
BUILD LAB
Can you build it? Yes, you can! Build Lab is the ultimate tinkerer's playground where your craziest ideas come to life. Grab some cardboard, tape, and tools, then dream up and construct something totally awesome — whether it's a wild invention, a robot, or something no one's ever seen before. There are no wrong answers here, only epic creations!
WATER LAB
Warning: you WILL get wet — and it will be totally worth it! Water Lab is the coolest (and splashiest) science class around. Build boats, race currents, and figure out why things sink or float through hands-on experiments and challenges that are equal parts learning and pure fun. Bring your curiosity and maybe a change of clothes!
EXPLORATION LAB
If you love figuring out how things work, Exploration Lab is YOUR place! Go from gooey science experiments to outdoor adventures, engineering challenges, and even fishing. No sitting still, no boring worksheets. Just real, hands-on discovering for kids who want to learn by doing, exploring, and getting a little messy along the way.
KITCHEN CLUB
Put on your apron and get cooking! Kitchen Club is your chance to whip up yummy recipes, try foods you've never tasted before, and learn the tricks real chefs use every day. You'll chop, mix, stir, and taste your way through amazing dishes — and the best part? You get to eat what you make! Warning: serious deliciousness ahead.
ART LAB
Calling all artists — your masterpiece is waiting! Art Lab is where you can paint, sculpt, doodle, and create using all kinds of cool materials. There are no mistakes here, only happy accidents! You'll experiment with colors, textures, and wild ideas to make something that's 100% YOU. Get ready to make a mess and make some magic.
NATURE EXPLORERS
Grab your magnifying glass — there's a wild world to discover! Nature Explorers takes you outside to find cool critters, mysterious plants, and hidden ecosystems right in your backyard. Go on scavenger hunts, get your hands dirty, and uncover the secrets that nature has been hiding all along. Who knows what amazing things you'll find today?
DISCOVERY LAB
Get your lab coat ready — it's experiment time! Discovery Lab is where you become a real scientist, asking big questions and uncovering the answers yourself. Mix, test, observe, and go WOW as you explore chemistry, physics, engineering, and more. Every day is full of surprises, and the best discoveries happen when you least expect them!
IMAGINATION STATION
Lights, camera, ACTION! Imagination Station is where your wildest stories and silliest characters come to life. You'll play theater games, build epic props, invent your own skits, and perform for your crew — no experience needed, just a big imagination and a willingness to be a little goofy. Every day at Imagination Station is a brand-new adventure!
MAKER'S LAB
What if you could make something so cool that people actually want to have it? In Maker's Lab, you'll design and create real things — jewelry, games, candles, and more — then package them up to give, share, or even sell. You're not just making crafts, you're running the show! Come ready to create something you'll be seriously proud of.
COMMUNITY CONNECTION LAB
Small actions can make a BIG difference — and you're going to prove it! In Community Connection Lab, you'll cook up snack packs, put together little gifts, and spread joy to real people in your community. It feels amazing to make someone's day, and you'll walk away knowing that YOU made it happen. Get ready to give, connect, and make the world a little brighter.
CHALLENGE LAB
Think you've got what it takes? Challenge Lab is a non-stop adventure of obstacle courses, team missions, epic competitions, and brain-busting problems — and no two days are ever the same. You'll push yourself, cheer on your teammates, and discover just how much you can do when you put your mind (and your muscles) to it. Bring your energy. It's go time!
