We have program from 8 to 5 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Tuesdays and Thursdays we offer lots of great activities at HVCC. Every Wednesday we take a field trip!
Breakfast, lunch, and a snack are served each day. Credit Recovery support is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
A typical Tuesday/Thursday will look like this:
8:00 to 9:00 | Waking up
9:00 to 10:00 | Breakfast and Being a Kid
10:00 to 12:00 | Community Service Based Projects
12:00 to 1:00 | Lunch
1:00 to 2:15 | Activity
2:15 TO 2:45 | Snack & Play
2:15 to 4:00 | Activity 2
4:00 to 5:00 | Physical Activity
Wednesdays we are offsite - we'll visit the Sand Dunes National Park, Horseshoe Lake, swim, watch a play at Creede Repertory Theatre, tube the San Juan River, find our inner cowgirl and cowboy, and other fun things!
Think you're too old for a summer program? If you are entering 7th grade or above, you will definitely want to be a part of our Junior Staff Program. Through a combination of onsite activities and hands-on learning in the community, you'll have so much fun, make a little money, and still go on great trips.
7th & 8th grade students will have a chance to work onsite at HVCC and older students will go into the community and volunteer at many of the businesses and organizations in town!
