Great First Week of Summer 2026 at HVCC

Summer 2026 kicked off with an incredible first week! We made so many friends -- lots of amazing families and kiddos and some fantastic staff too! We also were really excited to have our long-time friends back in the building.

We were introduced to superheroes, built pasta cars, made art, created our own charcuterie board picnic, went on a Treasure Hunt that led us right to Almost Homemade, visited the library AND story walk, tied flies and went fishing where we caught a lot of fish! Of course, no first week at HVCC is complete with grilling and hiking at the Sand Dunes National Park!

Next week we will continue on with Build Lab, Makers Mart, Kitchen Studio, Exploration Lab, and Nature Explorers. If you didn't make it for week one, but sure not to make that mistake twice -- if you aren't registered in our new system, EZChildTrack, get registered and head on down to HVCC!

Week 2 Notes: our Orange shirts - 6th grade and above - will be heading to the Flower Market Tuesday (6/9) morning from 10am to noon. If you want to join in on this annual traditional, be sure to arrive by 9:45!

We will have a split Wednesday (6/10) trip this week! Ladies will be heading horseback and to mini golf and Gentlemen will be swimming at Splashland. Buses will leave at 10am on Wednesday -- be sure to arrive by 9:45 if you are joining us! Ladies will be need to complete a waiver for Lucky Shoe -- pick yours up at the desk on Tuesday!
