We are so excited to welcome our kiddos back to High Valley Community Center for our 2023-2024 school year! It has been way too quiet around here, we don't quite know what to do with ourselves! However, we have been busy getting our program ready for the new school year. We have vamped up the activity choices this year and hope the kids like the adjustment.
We have made a few changes this year. One is that our program hours have changed slightly. We will now be open Tuesday through Thursday 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm and Fridays 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. We will also be bringing the kids to High Valley from school on our HVCC vans instead of the school bus. You will still let your teachers know your child is riding to High Valley, and they will send them to our van instead of the bus. The vans will line up with the buses, so the kids will remain in the same area.
This year, we will be offering a choice of three activities after school. The activities are on a first-come, first-serve basis and will have limited availability. We will have multiple sessions throughout the school year lasting between 4-6 weeks at a time. When you sign your child up for one of the activities, we strongly encourage them to stay in the lesson for the duration of the session as each week builds upon the week prior. We are also looking for community members to apply to lead an activity one night a week from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. If you are interested, click on the link to go to the signup form.
Wednesday will be our homework day. We want to dedicate this day to making sure the kids get their weekly work done and ready to turn in on Thursdays.
