Hello HVCC families and hello April! We are sorry for the late post here, but there is some exciting new stuff happening here at HVCC!
First, Soccer season is officially here! Practices started yesterday with our 3rd and 4th grade team, and today there is practice for the 5th-8th grade teams! All teams will practice on Fridays within the 10am-12pm designated time frames (check the schedules on our Sports page for more details). Games start next Saturday, April 11th!
Next, we also have new clubs that have started this week and will take us through the end of our academic calendar (stay tuned for our Summer Session starting June 2nd!). For this final session of clubs, we did not require club choice before the session started, instead we will be hosting 4 clubs that offer a weekly activity and students will self-select into those clubs daily! So, here's what's going on this week at HVCC:
Tuesday, March 31st
Dinner: Chef Salads
Clubs: 5:00 - 6:00PM
Free Build Club - Marble Maze Runs
PE Games - Blob Tag
Science & Slimes - Original Slime Creations
Springtime Crafts - Nail/Salon Day
Soccer Practice (3/4) - Practices will be held at Voss Park on Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30PM.
Wednesday, April 1st
Dinner: Pulled Pork Sandwiches
Clubs: 5:00 - 6:00PM
Free Build Club - Marble Maze Runs
PE Games - Blob Tag
Science & Slimes - Original Slime Creations
Springtime Crafts - Nail/Salon Day
Soccer Practice (5-8) - Practices will be held at Voss Park on Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30PM.
Thursday, April 2nd
Dinner: Chicken Fajitas
Clubs: 5:00 - 6:00PM

Friday, April 3rd

Soccer Practice Schedule:
Kindergarten Team: 10:30AM - 11:30AM
1st/2nd Team: 10:30AM - 11:30AM
3rd/4th Team: 10:30AM - 11:45AM
5th-8th Team: 10:15AM - 11:45AM
ALL PRACTICES on Friday are held at the Del Norte School Soccer/Football field.
Field Trip to Adams State University: 12:30pm - 5pm
Join us for a fun day at HVCC, with lots of games and a field trip to Adams State University for STEM projects and campus exploration! We should arrive back at HVCC by 4:30-4:45pm for parent pick up!
